A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law was in town and we visited the State Capitol in downtown Raleigh. The grounds are dotted with statues and monuments, all put there so people would remember some person or some event. In most cases no one actually remembers. This morning my pastor touched on the fact that Jesus did it differently He did not tell His people to setup a giant cross in Jerusalem so people could visit and remember what He did.
Luke 22:19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
