On December 3 ,2007 when I wrote All Things Work Together I knew in my heart based on the Bible and my experience as a Christian for almost thirty-five that was true. I have had many situations that God has turned for good. But I never had one that so showed the truth of:
Romans 8:28-29 (New Living Translation)And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
It all started in the second week of December 2007. Things had not been going well at job I was working at Texas. I had been contacted by a company in Florida that wanted me to work for them virtually, the call was just them doing the first interview and expressing interest. We agreed to talk some more but it being Christmas time most of the team was not available to talk to me so it would likely be after new year before they get everything together to talk to me again. Anyway they wanted some references so I contracted my references to tell them to expect a call. One of them a girl who I shared a office with for over two years at NCR was now working at NCSU in Raleigh, NC she wanted me to apply for a position there. I was not excited about applying, but with her encouragement I did. Her boss emailed the morning of Dec 14 wanting to setup a phone interview next Monday. It was on Friday Dec 14 about 2:00 pm that I agreed to the phone interview. My boss at the job in Texas called me in and let me go about 3:00 pm.
I had a phone interview with NCSU on Monday Dec 17. it went well they told me they would be back with me. On Thursday Dec 20 they called wanted to talk with me before the team left for Christmas break on the Friday the 21st. They called me in Texas at 10:00am Texas time on Thursday asked me if I could be in Raleigh on Friday. I said yes they conferenced the travel office in got me a ticket. I left DFW about 5:00pm, they picked me up at RDU at about 11:45pm Thursday night. The next day I had an interview with the team and returned to Texas. The job offer arrived on January 3, my wife and I loaded up the Uhaul in Texas on January 6 hit the road on January 7 moved into the new apartment in Cary NC on January 9 and started my new job on January 14. All I can say is Thank You Lord
